Hyperactive Lyrics

She's got a date for lunch in Singapore
Holds stock in I.B.M. and hates Dior
Well she puts her make up on at 6.00 a.m.
She goes to work gets home then puts it on againAnd its a mystery
How wild that girl can be
She's got so much energy
She's such an expert at surprising meShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She's so attracted to a wild romance
And I'm persuaded by her argument
She's hyperactiveShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She never missed a beat or missed a chance
And I'm persuaded by her argument
She's hyperactiveThe other dancers hyperventilate and start to sweat
One look at her, I know the nights not over yet
She says, "Where are we going now?"
Her voice is sweet and soft
I think she lost the key that turns her motor offAnd its a mystery
How wild that girl can be

She's got so much energy
She's such an expert at surprising meShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She never missed a beat or missed a chance
And I'm persuaded by her argument
She's hyperactiveShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She's so attracted to a wild romance
She's more effective than a stimulant
She's hyperactive, ohAnd its a mystery
How wild that girl can be
She's got so much energy
She's such an expert at surprising meShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She never missed a beat or missed a chance, yeah
And I'm persuaded by her argument
She's hyperactiveShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She's so attracted to a wild romance
And more effective than a stimulant
She's hyperactiveShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She never missed a step or missed a chance
She's more effective than a stimulant
She's hyperactiveShe's hyperactive when she starts to dance
She never missed a beat or missed a chance
And I'm persuaded by her argument
She's hyperactive

Robert Allen Palmer (January 19, 1949 – September 26, 2003), born in Batley, Yorkshire, England, was a British singer. He was known for his soulful voice and the eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, reggae, blues, and even yodeling.

His eighties hits were promoted by particularly striking award winning videos, featuring an all-female, black-clad backing band. The memorable videos, directed by Terence Donovan, featured heavily on MTV and played a large part in his transatlantic success.

His eighties success was kickstarted by his participation in supergroup The Power Station, along with Andy Taylor and John Taylor of Duran Duran and Tony Thompson of Chic.

Robert Palmer died on September 26, 2003 in Paris, France, while staying at the Warwick de berri Hotel. The cause of death was of a heart attack. He was in Paris promoting his Drive CD which had been released in May of 2003. He was joined there by his longtime friend, Jack Bruce. Robert Palmer was engaged to Geraldine Edwards at the time of his death.
