I Asked For Love Lyrics

There might be a question
That you ask before too long
I won't have the answer
But I promise to be strongerYou lied to me, you lied to me
Like I was some fool, yes you did
You lied to me, you cried for me
I told you to keep your coolI asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
And to be strong, to be strongerThere was a time
I felt no shame
In asking please, please me
But your rejection
Has brought me to my kneesYou lied to me, you lied to me

Like I was some fool, yes you did
You lied to me, but that's history
I told you to keep your coolI asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
And to be strong, to be strongerAll the people
Are ready to hold your hand
All the people
Are ready to understandThe things you doI asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
But your love has gone
I asked for love
And to be strong, to be stronger

George Alan O'Dowd (born June 14, 1961, in London, United Kingdom), a Irish/British singer, songwriter & DJ who gained fame with his group Culture Club during the 80s. He epitomized the term "blue-eyed soul" and received just as much airplay on R&B radio stations as pop stations. George's androgynous style caught the attention of music executive Malcolm McLaren, who arranged for George to perform with the group Bow Wow Wow, featuring Annabella Lwin, at various shows. George called himself Lieutenant Lush and nearly stole the spotlight from Lwin.
