(I Believe In) Travellin' Light Lyrics

Shimmering traveling light, echoing love at first sight
Glimmering, glistening, banishing the darkest night
Waiting for traveling lightThough the sun has yet to appear
Inkling faint perception is near
Bloodied, battered in the dew
Leaves and trees are calling you
Waiting for traveling lightShimmering, traveling by
Magical waves just under the sky
It knows no time, it knows no bounds
Coming clear beneath the clouds
Destination here and now
I behold traveling lightShimmering, traveling by
Magical waves just under the sky
She knows no time, she knows no bounds
Waves of light are traveling
Cloak of night unraveling
I believe in traveling lightShimmering, traveling light, echoing love at first sight
Glimmering, glistening, I'll see her tomorrow night

Waiting for my traveling lightShimmering traveling light, echoing love at first sight
Glimmering, glistening, banishing the darkest night
Waiting for traveling light
Though the sun has yet to appear
Inkling faint perception is near
Bloodied, battered in the dew
Leaves and trees are calling you
Waiting for traveling lightShimmering, traveling by
Magical waves just under the sky
It knows no time, it knows no bounds
Coming clear beneath the clouds
Destination here and now
I behold traveling lightShimmering, traveling by
Magical waves just under the sky
She knows no time, she knows no bounds
Waves of light are traveling
Cloak of night unraveling
I believe in traveling lightShimmering, traveling light, echoing love at first sight
Glimmering, glistening, I'll see her tomorrow night
Waiting for my traveling light

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister, recorded in a week, at the peak of the chamber pop movement.
