I Can't Be Bothered Now Lyrics

Bad news, go away
Call `round someday
In March or May
I can't be bothered nowMy bonds and shares
May fall downstairs
Who cares, who cares
I'm dancing andI can't be bothered now
I'm up among the stars
On earthly things I frown
I'm throwing off the barsThat held me down
I'll pay the piper
When times are riper
Just now, I shan'tBecause you see I'm dancing and
I can't be bothered nowI'm up among the stars
On earthly things I frown
I'm throwing off the bars
That held me downI'll pay the piper
When times are riper

Just now, I shan't
Because you see I'm dancing andI can't be bothered now

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
