I Can't Get You (Out Of My Mind) Lyrics

It's alright baby[Chorus]
I can't, get you out of my mind
Your love is, one of a kind
You've given so much of yourself
I swear, don't want nobody elseBaby don't you know that I'll do anything for you
I'll give you my time, give you my heart
Give you the world if you want me to
Life hasn't been easy
Knowing that you love somebody else
Ain't nothing I can do about it
All I have to blame is myself, and I can'tI thought I had you fooled
With the girls and the things that I was putting down
But little did I know
Miss Thang was spreading business all over town
I don't know what she told you
But I bounced upon the love one time
I took her to my house, laid her on the couch
Set it affray, then threw her ass outSo what about the girl in the 6-4

She didn't mean a damn thing to me baby
She needed a ride from the jam
And being the man that I am, I said "you can"
And what about the girl in the drop-top
With the lollipop, at the light, by the bus stop
You musta beel fooled into thinkin the kid was slack
Girl I did my thing, but now I want my baby back
Girl I can't[Chorus]Damn, just picked the wrong time to mess up
From the time you left me, up until this moment
I just couldn't get you off my mind
But I know if we could start all over again
I know things won't be the same
I can make it better, I swear, I swear
Girl, I swear[Chorus until fade]

Blackstreet was an American R&B group founded in 1994 by Teddy Riley, a New Jack Swing pioneer known for his work as a member of Guy. The band members were: Teddy Riley, Chauncey Hannibal, Eric Williams, and Terrell Philips (and formerly Joe Stonestreet, Levi Little, David Hollister, and Mark Middleton). Their debut album, Blackstreet, was a moderate success due to the singles "Booti Call" and "Before I Let You Go", both Top 40 hits ("Before" hit the Top 10). The follow-up, 1996's Another Level was a breakthrough success due to the top single "No Diggity" (with Dr. Dre), which was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1996, and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, along with the Top 40 hit "Don't Leave Me". Another Level eventually went four times platinum in the United States and peaked at #3 on the Billboard chart. "No Diggity" is ranked at #91 on Rolling Stone and MTV: 100 Greatest Pop Songs, while Blackstreet comes in at #214 of the Top 500 Pop Artists of the Past 25 Years.

Blackstreet has also collaborated with Jay-Z on his single "The City is Mine". With the help of the Janet Jackson single "Girlfriend", Blackstreet finally had a top ten album with Finally. But personnel shifts wracked the group and contributed to the relative failure of Finally in 1999, and Blackstreet soon broke up. After rumors of legal action and a preemptive countersuit, the group re-banded and released Level II in 2003.

In 2006 They are part of New Jack Reunion Tour Line up.
