I Could Sleep (The Wuss Song) Lyrics

It's okay that you forget
It's alright that you don't wanna remember
In your hands you've got a martyr's head
In your mind, I know that's what you wish you wereTurn the blue sky black
You're such a hard luck baby, yeah
That's what's the matter with you
But I could sleep through thisI ain't as mystified as I am in it
If that's your ride
Well then you oughta get itIt's just as if I wasn't dreaming
It's all the same
'Cause I still wake up screamingTurn my blue sky black
You're such a hard luck baby, yeah
That's what's the matter with you
But I could sleep through thisYou're a pilgrim in the boxcar
You can never look back too far
You can't even look backYou turn my blue sky black
You're such a hard luck baby, yeah
That's what's the matter with you

But I could sleep through anything

Letters to Cleo were an alternative rock band from Boston, Massachusetts (although they originally started out as a ska band). The band was made up of members Michael Eisenstein, Kay Hanley, Stacy Jones, Greg McKenna, Scott Riebling, and Tom Polce. Their name came from the fact that Hanley had a pen pal named Cleo when she was younger, although the letters she wrote would often be returned. Hanley kept them in a box under her bed marked "Letters to Cleo", and happened to stumble across the box as the band was attempting to think of a name for itself.
