I Didn't See It Coming (Richard X Mix) Lyrics

Make me dance, I want to surrender
Your familiar arms I remember
We've been going transcontinental
Got no car, we just take a rentalBut we don't have the money
Money makes the wheels and the world go round
Forget about it, honeyMake me dance, I want to surrender
Your familiar arms I remember
Everybody's talking about you
Every word's a whisper without youBut we don't have the money
Money makes the wheels and the world go round
Forget about it, honey
Trouble's never far away when you're around'Cause we don't have the money
Money makes the wheels and the world go round
Forget about it, honeyI didn't see it coming
I'm just not in the runningTake me on a train 'cause I'm not flying
I can see the world from a different side
Read about us in the morning papers
When we make it, when we make it aliveI didn't see it coming

Make me dance, I want to surrender
I'm just not in the running
Make me dance, I want to surrenderAnd we don't need a lifetime
Make me dance, I want to surrender
We're following the right line
Make me dance, I want to surrenderAnd we don't need a lifetime
Make me dance, I want to surrender
We're following the right line
Make me dance, I want to surrenderI didn't see it coming
Make me dance, I want to surrender
I'm just not in the running
Make me dance, I want to surrenderAnd we don't need a lifetime
Make me dance, I want to surrender

Belle and Sebastian is a band from Glasgow. Led by guitarist/vocalist Stuart Murdoch, the seven-piece band has an intimate, majestic sound that is equal parts folk-rock and '60s pop. Murdoch has a gift not only for whimsy and surrealism, but also for odd, unsettling lyrical detail which keeps the songs grounded in a tangible reality. Based in Glasgow, Scotland, Belle and Sebastian released their first two albums in 1996: Tigermilk, recorded over three days, and If You're Feeling Sinister, recorded in a week, at the peak of the chamber pop movement.
