I Don't Know Lyrics

I'm nothing fancy
I'm nothing special that's true
But I know what you're thinkin'
'Cuz I'm thinkin' that same thing tooNow you'd like everything to go your way
And I should probably say
Everything you'd like me to say
But that's not me and baby that just wouldn't be youYou better watch how long you wait
'Cuz baby you might wait too longI don't know if I could make you happy
And I don't know if I could make you cry
I don't know if the clock stops at midnight
I can't see past forever, but together we can fly, together we can flyNow let's pretend for a while
That we've got no place to be
You've been broken before but baby that wasn't me
Now I'm not trying to ask you to comeTo that same old place
That you've been runnin' from
We've been down that road
You know there's nothing to seeYou better watch how long you wait
'Cuz baby you might wait too longI don't know if I could make you happy

And I don't know if I could make you cry
I don't know if the clock stops at midnight
I can't see past forever, but together we can fly, together we can flyBaby there' no use in waiting
I can see that your hopes are fading
They tell me time is precious baby
Why do you keep wastin' mine?I don't know if I could make you happy
And I don't know if I could make you cry
I don't know if the clock stops at midnight
I can't see past forever, but together we could fly, together we could flyI don't know if I could make you happy
And I don't know if I could make you cry
And I don't know if the clock stops at midnight
I can't see past forever, but together we could fly, together we could flyTogether we could fly, together we could fly

Uncle Kracker (born Matthew Shafer 9 November 1974 in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is an American rock and roll and country music musician.

He started out his career at a young age as a fledgling rapper. He met Kid Rock in 1987, and Rock asked Kracker to become his DJ. Kracker did not know how to work the turntables, but he soon learned how to, and he became a long-term friend and colleague of Rock.

Kracker worked with Kid Rock until he became a solo artist in 2000.

The My Hometown Songfacts reports that Kracker recorded Postcards From Home over seven weeks in early 2011. The album title was inspired by his hectic life on the road after his successful Happy Hour longplayer.
