I Don't Mind Lyrics

Birds sing and doorbells ring in answer
People say it's a lovely day outside
I don't mind, I've got my way of living
Even if it's only for the rideI don't mind if people find me lazy
I could say it's only for the fun
Step inside and see if I can make you
After all it's only just begunYou don't know me, what's on my mind
You can't show me what I can't findDays, nights, alright, it's easy
Breaking time and making rhymes for you
I don't mind, I've got my way of giving
Even if it's all I ever doStep inside and see if I can make you
Even if it's only for the rideYou don't know me, what's on my mind
You can't show me what I can't find

Badfinger was a rock/pop (or "power pop") band that orginated in mid-60s pop bands around Swansea, Wales. Adopting the name Badfinger in 1969, the band was touted as the 'heir apparent' to The Beatles, in part because of their close working relationship with the "Fab Four." Badfinger's meteoric rise and demise (marked by the suicides of founder-member and leader Peter Ham on 24 April 1975, and later of band-member Tom Evans on November 19, 1983) remains a cautionary tale for the rock music industry.
