I Haven't Seen You In Years Lyrics

Did I forget, or have I really lost my mind?
Should I care about in a sober mind
It's true that time will heal my crimes
But I don't have the time to heal meHey old lady, remember the boy that loved you?
Well he grew up, thinking of you way too much
He'd didn't watch you grow, doesn't think of you as old
Just a young girl he never got to knowOh but I, I haven't seen you in years
Oh but I, I haven't seen you in yearsI'll talk and talk to anyone that will listen
I tell those ears I'm finally finishing
Wrapping gifts for all the birthdays I missed
Happy Birthday for everyone of those yearsIt's a crazy world, we're just both stuck in it
Take my hand, and I will rescue you from it
Into this perfect world where you're dressed in pearls
We'll get married before our families in a churchOh but I, I haven't seen you in years
Oh but I, I haven't seen you in yearsIt's been long but I still obsess
It might be weird but I must confess
I've been sick, there's something wrong with me
For thinking your every that I see

I dreamed how you'd like now
I haven't seen you in years
