I Heard It Through the Grapevine Lyrics

I bet you're wondering how I knew
What you're plans to make me blue
With some other guy you knew before
Between the two of us caught, you know I love you moreIt took me by surprise I must say when I found out yesterday
Don't you know, I heard it through the grapevine
Not much longer would you be mine
Oh, I heard it through the grapevine
And I'm just about to lose my mind, honey, honey yeaI know a man ain't supposed to cry
But these tears I can't hold inside
Losin' you would end my life you see
'Cause you mean that much to meYou could have told me yourself that you love someone else
Instead I heard it through the grapevine
Not much longer would you be mine
Oh, I heard it through the grapevine
And I'm just about lose my mindPeople say believe half of what you see
So believe none of what you hear
Well I can't help being confused
If it's true please tell me dearDo you plan to let me go?

For the other guy you left me for
Don't you know I heard it through the grapevine
Not much longer would you be mine
Oh, I heard it through the grapevine
And I'm just about to lose my mindHoney honey, yea
Honey honey, yea
Honey honey, love
That you let me goSaid, "I heard it through the grapevine"
Heard it, heard it through the grapevine
Said, "I heard it through the grapevine"
Honey honey, love
So let me go
