I Like Being a Woman Lyrics

Say goodbye
That will never do
Though sometimes I have wanted to
Man, I'm crazy about you
Though sometimes I wanted to leave you
But that just won't doSay hello
To a brand new me
Somewhere I read: "Woman must be free"
I can't go that way
I need my man more and more each day
And I wanna sayI like being a woman
I like being a girl
I like being a woman
Putting on head of big curls
Just a girlMan, I'm yours
I am but a slave
When it comes to love
Like a big strong tape

Man, I'm crazy about you
Though sometimes I wanted to leave you
But that just won't doTake my love
See how much I care
I'll take my life
Like a bird in air
But don't do that to me
I'll probably fly right into a tree
Can't you see?I like being a woman
I like being a girl
I like being a woman
Wearing diamonds and pearls
Just a girl
Just a girl
Just a girl
Just a girl
Just a girl
Just a girlYou know...
Women's liberation is cool.
I mean, it has its good points and its bad points.
But you know, sometimes...
I just want to be loved
And that's why I become your slave.
I don't want to be your equal.
I just want to be a part of you.
All you gotta do is treat me like you treat yourself.
When I'm weak,
I need you to make me strong.
I want you to take care of me.
I want you to love me like I'm gonna love you.
I want you to need me like I need you.
'Cause baby, I want to respect you
And everything about you
'Cause I want you.Just a girl, just a girl
Just a girl
Just a girl, just a girl (I like being a woman)
Just a girl
Just a girl, just a girl (I like being a woman)
Just a girl
Just a girl, just a girl (I like being a woman)
Just a girl

The Three Degrees are a female Philadelphia soul and disco vocal musical group, formed in 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although it has always had a three-girl lineup, the group has undergone numerous personnel changes, and a total of twelve women have represented the trio so far. The original members were Fayette Pinkney, Shirley Porter and Linda Turner. The trio, tagged by the media as "Prince Charles' favourites", were the first girl group to top the UK Singles Chart since The Supremes in 1964. They are best known for their 1974 million-selling hit, When Will I See You Again.
