I Love You Honey but I Hate Your Friends Lyrics

I love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but i hate those friendsThat fat cat frank got a heart of gold
He's got a head of lead, he's young but he acts old
That limp wristed two-fisted diplomat
Better draw a map, to see where he's at
Around and round when he rambles on
'bout the latest deal we should be in on
We shouldn't give him the time of day
He doesn't give a damn if we sink or swimI love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but i hate your friendsDid some toot, yeah we had a blow
Look man, no holes, real nose
When he says hi he really means the moon
He was there long before armstrong
He stays loose, he says, fill her up

For eternal youth from those swiss docs.
He's thirty but he feels like sixteen
Check it out: yep, hundred-n-sixteen!I love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey, let's danceI love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah yeah
I love you honey but i hate your friendsLet's see, there's miss tique and miss informed
General disaster, mister know-it-all
Missus a lot and private stock
Corporal punishment 'bout to blow his mind
Mister mock, mister completely,
Miss de plot, miss story,
Mister call, mister de gaulle,
The aging mister martin and that ain't allI love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but i hate those friendsI love you honey but i hate your friends
I love you honey but they'll be the end of me
Oh yeah
I love you honey but i hate your friendsI love you honey but i hate your friends
They love your money
But they'll be the end of me, oh yeah
I love you honey but i hate your friends

Cheap Trick is a U.S. rock/power pop band from Rockford, Illinois, that gained popularity in the late 1970s. The band members are Rick Nielsen (guitarist and main songwriter), Bun E. Carlos (born Brad Carlson) (drums), Robin Zander (vocals and guitars), and Tom Petersson (bass guitar). Though they have had only brief flirtations with mainstream success, Cheap Trick has held a substantial following through regular touring and a hard-edged yet blissful pop sound that combines the tunefulness of The Beatles with the speed and energy of punk rock. The band's biggest hits over the years include "I Want You to Want Me", "Surrender", "Dream Police", "Don't Be Cruel" (a cover of Elvis Presley's hit), and "The Flame". Their most recent release, The Latest, has gained critical acclaim. They also wrote and performed the theme song for "The Colbert Report".

Nielsen and Petersson originally formed the group as "Fuse" in 1967, with Carlos joining the group several years later; however, when Zander joined as vocalist in 1972, the group was renamed Cheap Trick. Zander is considered one of the best rock vocalists. Tom Petersson was known for playing custom made 8, 12, and even a 18 string custom bass made by Modulus for Tom in 1981.

Rick Nielsen also has a penchant for unusual instruments. He owns and plays a five-necked solidbody electric guitar (it can be seen in the video for the song "She's Tight", among others).
