I Need A Dollar Lyrics

I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
Well I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
And I said I need dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
And if I share with you my story would you share your dollar with me
Bad times are comin and I reap what I dont sow
hey hey
Well let me tell you somthin all that glitters aint gold
hey hey
Its been a long old trouble long old troublesome road
And im looking for somebody come and help me carry this load
Bridge:
I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
Well I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
Well i dont know if Im walking on solid ground
Cause everything around me is falling down

And all I want - is for someone - to help meee
I had a job but the boss man let me go
He said
Im sorry but I wont be needing your help no more
I said
please mister boss man I need this job more than you know
But he gave me my last paycheck and he sent me on out the door
Bridge:
I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
I said I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
And I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
And if I share with you my story would you share your dollar with me
Well i dont know if im walking on solid ground
Cause everything around me is crumbling down
And all I want is for someone to help meee
What in the world am I gonna to do tomorrow
is there someone whose dollar that i can borrow
who can help me take away my sorrow
maybe its inside the bottle
maybe its inside the bottle
i had some good old buddy his names is whiskey and wine
hey hey
and for my good old buddy i spent my last dime
hey hey
my wine is good to me it helps me pass the time
and my good old buddy whiskey keeps me warmer than the sunshine
Hey Hey
your mom of mayhem just a child has got his own
Hey Hey
if god has plans for me i hope it aint - written in stone
Hey Hey
because ive been working working myself down to the bone
and i swear on grandpas grave ill be paid when i come home
Hey Hey
Bridge:
Well I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need
hey hey
Well I need a dollar dollar, a dollar is what I need hey hey
And if I share with you my story will you share your dollar with me
come on share your dollar with me
go ahead share your dollar with me
come on share your dollar give me your dollar
share your dollar with me
come on share your dollar with me

Chris Webby (Christian Webster) is an up-and-coming rapper from the suburbs of Fairfield County, Connecticut. In just over a year and a half, Webster has released 6 full-length mixtapes, all freely available at datpiff.com. His first mixtape, The White Noise LP, was released on April 30, 2009. A second mixtape, Teenage Mutant Ninja Rapper, was released only 5 months later on September 18, 2009, followed by Optimus Rhyme on May 10, 2010, The Underclassmen on July 14, 2010, Best in the Burbs on December 21st, 2010, and most recently, Webster's Laboratory on June 1st, 2011.

Webster began rapping at a very young age, obsessing over rap artists like Dr. Dre and Eminem, engaging in numerous rap battles, and originally writing and recording under the name Vindictive. Initially catering to a limited northeastern demographic (namely his home state of Connecticut), Webster has since garnered significant attention through his free LP's and Youtube presence, and now gigs widely around the country.

Webster has differentiated himself from similar acts in the new hip-hop/frat rap genre through his detailed attention to wordplay. He is recognizable by the high number of tattoos covering his body, most of which pertain to video games (Mortal Kombat, Mario, Boo the Ghost, etc.) or to aspects of 90's culture (Transformers).

Webster's devoted fans are know as "Ninjas."
