I Need a Hero Lyrics

Where have all the good men gone,
And where are all the gods,
Where is my Hercules,
To help me fight the odds,Isn't there a white knight,
Somewhere for me,
Late at night I tossed and turn,
And dream of what I need,I need a hero,
Holding' out for a hero at the end of the night,
He's gotta be strong, he's gotta be fast,
Gotta be ready to fight,I need a hero,
Holding' out for a hero to the morning' light,
He's gotta be sure, he's going to be soon,
He's gotta be larger than life,Larger than this lifeSomewhere after midnight,
In my wildest fantasy,
Just beyond my reach I see,
Him reaching back for me,Racing on the thunder,
Rising with the heat,
I see him reaching',

I see him reaching',I need a hero,
Holding' out for a hero at the end of the night,
He's gotta be strong, he's gotta be fast,
He gotta be ready to fight,I need a hero,
Holding' out for a hero to the morning' light,
He's gotta be sure, he's going to be soon,
He's gotta be larger than life,Larger than this life(Oh oh oh)
(Ahhhhhh)Racing on the thunder,
Rising with the heat,
I see him reaching,
My world is fantasy,I need a hero,
Holding' out for a hero,
Oh, I need a hero,Baby,
Gotta be my hero,
(Ooh)Where have all the good men gone,
And where are all the gods.

Sarah Buxton grew up in Lawrence, Kan., and became actively involved in music as a child by learning piano, playing flute and joining a children's choir. She sang Patty Loveless' "Blame It on Your Heart" at a talent show as a junior in high school. As she learned more about music, she became interested in songwriters and began writing poetry. After graduation, she met one of her musical idols, Stevie Nicks, who encouraged her to pursue music, which meant a move to Nashville.
