I Refuse (Album Version) Lyrics

Intro:urban(woman)
Yo baby (what?s up)
What we had was so special (yea I know)
What you doin now (left my man back at the 9 to 5 just trying to make things work)
Yeah, I never thought I?d see you again (and I never thought I?d see you again)
Yeah, (what a coincidence)
Well that?s how things happen (yea I know, I wanna have you just one more time)
But you know what (what's that)
You know what?s odd (what is it)Verse 1:
What are the odds of me bumping into you again (one in a million)
What are the odds of me seeing my first lover friend (two in a million)It's been two years since we both graduated, I still can feel how we both celebrated
I can't get over your voice on my phone, we've been apart for so long.Chorus:
So I refuse to wait, my patience is out the door baby
I refuse to hear you say, you don?t want me no more baby
I refuse to blame, you for anything - me for any thing
Lets not take finding each other in vain its not a coincidence babyVerse 2:
Remember we use to sneak off when your mama dosed off
Hit the back seat of my Chevy fog up the windowsMade love to sweet lady our favorite song

Kept it moving slow and steady to the tempoThen we would lay there and hold on to each other like there wasn?t a tomorrow
I can?t get over your voice on the phone, we've been apart for so longChorus:
So I refuse to wait, my patience is out the door baby
I refuse to hear you say, don?t want to hear you say you don?t want me no more
I refuse to blame, you for anything or me for anything
Lets not take finding each other in vain its not a coincidence babyVerse 3:
You know, damn well, you?re suppose to be in my life
Riding by my side (Oh yeah yeah)
You know, damn well, you?re suppose to be coming home to me every nightBaby if you?re not that far away
Maybe we can spend the day
Catch up on all the loving we lost
Let me kiss you in your favorite placeChorus:
So I refuse to wait, I don?t think you hear me baby
I refuse to hear you say, saying no, no no no no ? no no no no
I refuse to blame, blame you for anything or me for any thing
Lets not take finding each other in vain its not a coincidence baby

Urban Mystic’s smash hit single, the KayGee-produced “Where Were You?” quickly resonated and became a popular fixture at urban radio, where it is still a recurrent tune. The video which accompanied the song enjoyed its own popularity at BET and MTV Jams, as well as at hundreds of video outlets across the country, assisting in establishing Urban Mystic as a vocalist to be reckoned with. His selection as the 2004 Miami Music Award’s “Best New Artist” was early proof of the bright future to come for the young, well-versed crooner.

Spring 2006 will unveil the second chapter in the growing success of Urban Mystic, with the release of his sophomore CD, “Ghetto Revelations: II.” The new album leads off with the single “It’s You” which pairs Urban Mystic with hit making producer KayGee. The tune caught the attention of “The People’s Champ,” Paul Wall, who quickly reached out to spit on the track. “It’s You” remarkably maintained the #1 spot on Billboard’s R&B Singles chart 7 out of 10 weeks. The CD also contains the hit song “Bounce Wit Me,” a street banger produced by Scott Storch, which features Urban Mystic’s label mate, Miami based rapper, Stack$. Another rapper to throw down on the Urban Mystic musical train is Trick Daddy, who contributes to the song “Let’s Make A Change.” This tune reminds listeners about the state of the world and about the incomparable contributions of Rosa Parks and Dr. King; but, more specifically, it tells us why we all need to make a positive change in the world today. Finally, the gut wrenching, Scott Storch-produced ballads “I Refuse” and “Your Portrait” take one on a musical ride down lovers’ memory lane. Read more on Last.fm.
