I Saw the Light Lyrics

I wandered so aim less life filled with sin
I wouldn't let my dear Saviour in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord I saw the lightI saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the lightJust like a blind man I wandered alone
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like a blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord I saw the lightI saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the lightI was a fool to wander and stray
For straight is the gate and narrow the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right
Praise the Lord I saw the lightI saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I'm so happy no sorrow in sight

Praise the Lord I saw the lightPraise the Lord I saw the light

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
