I Surrender Lyrics

Life's like a lazy river as you slowly drift downstream
I find myself reminded just what you mean to me
The past will never leave me the future's already here
I imagine there's no escaping my deep-seated fearI always thought you were my only friend
When I told you that I loved you did you understand
Don't wanna count on fishes in the sea
But at the time I saw the sign of how you wanted things to beI surrender with no regret
Just remember life's not over yetI feel you when I'm dreaming
So soft against my skin
There's no need to feel so guilty
There's no element of sin
As you reach your own conclusion
I began to lose control
Is the method in my madness
Like the sadness in my soulI always thought you were my only friend
When I told you that I loved you did you understand
Don't wanna count on fishes in the sea
But at the time I saw the sign of how you wanted things to beI surrender with no regret

Just remember life's not over yetI always thought you were my only friend
When I told you that I loved you did you understand
Don't wanna count on fishes in the sea
But at the time I saw the sign of how you wanted things to be
And though you're gone I carry on though all that's left's the memoryI surrender with no regret
Just remember life's not over yet
