I Told You So Lyrics

I broke into your house last night,
I crept in through your window.
I was too quiet for you to hear me
And as you finished up your dreams you rose to me beside your throat.
The choice was yours to make, this was a night you won't forgetSo look at me, tell me what you see.
'cause I know, that the world is beautiful
And the distance will be killing on the nights that we're alone
And just know, we're view fault, the sun will not be tempt until you see the damage done.I've got a pocket full of reasons,
And a tank full of gas, I'm gunna drive you through the river where the current is fast.
With my feet on the shore and my hands in the water,
We shout these words, back to eachother
I've got an awful disaster and an awful disease
I'm gunna sing all of the words, I'm gunna make you scream
I've got an awful disaster and an awful disease
I'm gunna sing you all of the words, I'm gunna make you scream
I've got an awful disaster and an awful diseaseI've got a pocket full of reasons,
And a tank full of gas, I'm gunna drive you to the river where the current is fast.
With my feet on the shore and my hands in the water,

I'll shout to your mom "say goodbye to your daughter"
I'll smile to see the light in the sky
With a big round circle looking me in the eye
Saying it's okay, it's okay.
it's okay it's okay

In 2003, Halifax was just another in a myriad of unsigned indie outfits rolling the highways of North America. Sharing van space, shitty hotel rooms, bodily aromas, Old Milwaukee and a collective dream in between crappy jobs in chain restaurants and landscaping, the group recorded and supported its initial EP, A Writer’s Reference. Within a year’s time, Halifax found itself among the rookie bands on the 2004 Warped Tour.
