I Wanna Be Your Man Lyrics

Baby, baby, baby, I wanna know you
Place no one above you, I wanna love you
Baby, baby, baby, I wanna be your manI remember the first time I came to this park
It was one day last May
I saw you lookin' like a star
I'll never forget the scent of your perfume
Girl, I just gotta' see you againTo ask you may I have a chance to be with you?
Girl, I'll never forget how I traveled to the moon
Now I'm waitin' in the park, waitin' after dark
I've got to see you again, ohhBaby, baby, baby, I wanna know you
(Oh, baby, wanna know you)
Place no one above you, I wanna love you
(Ooh, oh ya)
Baby, baby, baby, I wanna be your man
(Wanna be your man, girl, take it for me, one time)So I dream a little dream of us, we're holding hands
And we're takin' long walks, down in love land
My palms are sweatin' and my hearts beatin' fast
'Cause you smiled and said you'd see me again, ohI ain't gonna' let you get away this time

That's why I waited here so long, I'm gonna make you mine
Still I'm waitin' in the park, waitin' after dark
Waiting here to see you againBaby, baby, baby, I wanna know you
(Oh, baby, wanna know you)
Place no one above you, I wanna love you
(Oh ya, oh)
Baby, baby, baby, I wanna be your man
(Wanna be your man [Incomprehensible], singin')I loved you from the moment, that you graced your beauty
In front of me and I just can't wait, baby
To see you again 'cause I wanna be your, I wanna be your man
Listen baby, I wanna be your man, oh yeah, oh yeah, girl, babyBaby, baby, baby, I wanna know you
(Wanna know you, oh yeah)
Place no one above you, I wanna love you
(No one above you)
Baby, baby, baby, I wanna be your man
(Oh baby, your man, your man, oh yeah)Baby, baby, baby, I wanna know you
(So what do you wanna do, tell me)
Place no one above you, I wanna love you
(Where do you wanna go, oh yeah)
Baby, baby, baby, I wanna be your man
(How can I get with you 'cause I wanna be your man)

Blackstreet was an American R&B group founded in 1994 by Teddy Riley, a New Jack Swing pioneer known for his work as a member of Guy. The band members were: Teddy Riley, Chauncey Hannibal, Eric Williams, and Terrell Philips (and formerly Joe Stonestreet, Levi Little, David Hollister, and Mark Middleton). Their debut album, Blackstreet, was a moderate success due to the singles "Booti Call" and "Before I Let You Go", both Top 40 hits ("Before" hit the Top 10). The follow-up, 1996's Another Level was a breakthrough success due to the top single "No Diggity" (with Dr. Dre), which was a #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1996, and won the 1998 Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals, along with the Top 40 hit "Don't Leave Me". Another Level eventually went four times platinum in the United States and peaked at #3 on the Billboard chart. "No Diggity" is ranked at #91 on Rolling Stone and MTV: 100 Greatest Pop Songs, while Blackstreet comes in at #214 of the Top 500 Pop Artists of the Past 25 Years.

Blackstreet has also collaborated with Jay-Z on his single "The City is Mine". With the help of the Janet Jackson single "Girlfriend", Blackstreet finally had a top ten album with Finally. But personnel shifts wracked the group and contributed to the relative failure of Finally in 1999, and Blackstreet soon broke up. After rumors of legal action and a preemptive countersuit, the group re-banded and released Level II in 2003.

In 2006 They are part of New Jack Reunion Tour Line up.
