I Want You Now Lyrics

When the sun goes down
I open up my window for hours and I watchEvery passing stranger
Every early shadow, I wonder if it's youAlways I'm dreaming, and recklessly scheming
How to get you back in my lifeI want you now
And I'm prepared to take chances
I've told you how
I won't take no for an answerEvery empty evening
The sailors sit downstairs, drinking 'til they fightShout and raucous laughter
Sounds of breaking glass shatter through the nightThe men from the circus are juggling with knives
The acrobats fall just like youI want you now
And I'm prepared to take chances
I've told you how
I won't take no for an answer
I won't take no for an answerNow you're miles away
'Cross the sea, out of reach, unheard
I've cried to you for help
But the wind blows away all my wordsYou sat there once beside me
Where the actors play, you kissed me every nightWhen you left you promised

You'd soon be back to stay, and it would be alrightNow I'm abandoned, my letters unanswered
Got to get you back in my lifeI want you now (I want you now)
And I'm prepared to take chances
I've told you how (I've told you how)
I won't take no for an answerI want you now (I want you now)
And I'm prepared to take chances
I've told you how (I've told you how)
I won't take no for an answer
