I Want a Little Girl Lyrics

I want a little girl, call my own
She must be someone who's all alone now
Say, I want a little girl to fall in love with me, oh yeahI want a little girl, but she may not look
Just like a picture in a story book
If she can cook chicken, yeah, she'll suit me to a TAnd she don't have to wave her hair
Or even wear fancy clothes, I wouldn't even care
She don't wear nylon hose, ohhI want a little girl to love a lot
You know that I'd give her everything I got
I want a little girl to fall in love with me

Lester Willis Young (August 27, 1909 – March 15, 1959), nicknamed "Pres" or "Prez", was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and sometime clarinetist.
Coming to prominence while a member of Count Basie's orchestra, Young was one of the most influential players on his instrument. In contrast to many of his hard-driving peers, Young played with a relaxed, cool tone and used sophisticated harmonies, using "a free-floating style, wheeling and diving like a gull, banking with low, funky riffs that pleased dancers and listeners alike".
