I Want a Woman Lyrics

I want a woman, who's strong good and kind
She's got a heart as big as Texas and walks a straight and narrow line
She can lift you up with a flash of her smile
Stand right beside you cross that extra mile
That lovin' woman with the heart of a childI want a woman, with a sweet and tender touch
One who will pay the price for love without asking how much
One who will keep me warm when the nights are cold
Face of an angel and heart of gold
That lovin' woman, with a fire down in her soulWhenever she needs someone to hold her, I'll be there right by her side
Whenever she needs a shoulder to cry on, she can always cry on mine
Through thick and thin together, down the road come rain or shine
I want a woman like that, to be all mineWhenever she needs someone to hold her, I'll be there right by her side
Whenever she needs a shoulder to cry on, she can always cry on mine
Through thick and thin together, down the road come rain or shine
I want a woman like that, to be all mine
I want a woman like that, to be all mine

In the early-1990s, he had a successful string of Country hits. Once infamous for his flamboyantly hedonist party image, he is now a born again Christian and records both Country and Gospel music. He is known for wearing rhinestone-studded "Nudie suits" onstage, but after the passing of his friend Johnny Cash he now wears black in his honor.
