I Wear the Face Lyrics

It used to be that life was just a game
Got used to dancing each step the same
Well I got so tired, so disillusioned with it all
Standing at the threshold, waiting for the callI wear the face of change, it never looks the same
I wear the face of change - my face is changingI heared someone talking on the telephone
A distant stranger in a monotone
I don't know your name but I recognize the face
We were once the same but in another placeI wear the face of change, it never looks the same (I wear the face)
I wear the face of change - my face is changing
It never looks the same - I wear the face(Solo)I wear the face of change (I wear the face), it never looks the same (oh-oh)
I wear the face of change - look at my face, it's changing
It never looks the same - I wear the face

Mr. Mister was an american pop band of the 1980s. Richard Page had formerly worked as a session musician (e.g., for Quincy Jones) and had composed for Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Kenny Loggins, Al Jarreau, and many more, when in the late 1970s, he and his childhood friend Steve George founded the band Pages (most notable song: I Do Believe in You) in Phoenix, Arizona, from which Mr. Mister was founded in 1982. The two continued to apply their tight harmonies to background vocals on albums by successful pop artists like Laura Branigan while working to break their own material.
