I Won't Miss You Lyrics

After six months of living with him
She thinks I gotta get myself an interest
Trying to get over what’s gone before
But no one told her you never get over
You just learn to live with it
She got no bow and arrow, army pants and pigtails
She ain’t got to be no one’s dolly and at nobody’s whim
She got her shoes, her blues, her big red heart
She walks to the door and she says
“I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you
It was a long road but it’s a fine time
To get myself a little respect”
“Na na na
Na na na
Na na na
Said I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you”

He always thought that if she lost the plot
She couldn’t get back up and find herself a new way
Oh, what a hypocrite he turned out to be
And now he’s watching 24-hour shopping TV
And she refused to lose to bruise
Boo hoo, you fool, you misconstrued her
She walks to the door and she knows
She’ll never look back, never look back, she says
“I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you
It was a long road but it’s a fine time
To get myself a little respect”
“Na na na
Na na na
Na na na
Said I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you”
She didn’t crumble
And now he’s feeling kinda sore
He was a fool to think
He was her backbone
Said, I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you
It was a long road but it’s a fine time
To get myself a little respect
I won't miss you
I said, I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you
It was a long road but it’s a fine time
To get myself a little respect
Na na na
Na na na
Na na na
I said, I’m going now, goodbye
Babe, I won’t miss you
Na na na
Na na na
Na na na
It was a long road but it’s a fine time
To get myself a little respect
Na na na
Na na na

Alisha's Attic was a British musical group of the 1990s and 2000s. Its two members were Shelly Poole and Karen Poole, sisters born in Essex. Their father is Brian Poole of Brian Poole And The Tremeloes, a 1960s band.
Alisha's Attic were discovered by Dave Stewart (of Eurythmics) after they sent him a demo tape recorded at home. Impressed, Mercury Records Managing Director Howard Berman signed the girls. They had been trying to get a record contract for nine years.
If one discounts the sisters' teenage material recorded as Keren & Chelle, Karen and Shelly's recording career began with the single "I Am, I Feel", a hit in the UK, and this was quickly followed by their debut album Alisha Rules the World in November 1996. They went on to release two more albums. Mercury then chose not to take up the option for a fourth album, and the girls went their separate ways in 2003.

Karen has been writing tracks for well-known artists including Lilly Allen, Janet Jackson, Sugababes, Chase And Status, Amy Studt, Kylie Minogue and Jamelia. She is currently devloping a duo simular to Alisha's Attic called Babydrum signed to Columbia/Sony. They are due to release in 2011.

Shelly released a solo album, Hard Time for the Dreamer, early in 2005. Shelly has also written material for Janet Jackson and appears on Michael Gray's "Borderline". In late 2008, she formed the alternative country band Red Sky July, with Ally McErlaine, and Charity Hair from The Alice Band. She is currently signed to Gary Barlow's publishing company San Remo Live.
