I Wouldn't Be Me Without You Lyrics

I Wouldn't Be Me Without You-Rodney Crowell
Sometimes, I think that
And if I had some plans to do
I might even crank up the engine
And roll down the street just for show
Nobody said life was easy
But that doesn't mean it ain't right
I don't want nobody else with me
When it comes down to the corner of my mind
So far I've kept it in prudence
And this I'll continue to do
I love you like nobody's business
I wouldn't get even at you
I don't need the rain to remind me
How good it feels coming clean
The worst of the past was behind me
The spoken words I had to leave
And if I was to tell you I'm sorry

For something I shouldn't have done
It won't be for some other woman
Who smiled, but
So far, I kept every permit
And this I'll continue to do
I love you, come hella high water
I wouldn't be here without you
I wouldn't be here without you
