I'd Lie for You (And That's the Truth) Lyrics

I'd never tell you one lie
I'd never let you down
I'd never leave
I'd be the one who'd always be around
Baby give me a chanceI'd pull the sun down from the sky
To light your darkest night
I wouldn't let one drop of rain fall down into your life
Put your heart in my handsBaby believe me I could never do you wrong
And I would never paint your world blue
And if sometimes it seems I must have lost my mind
I might be crazy, but I'm crazy about youI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Do anything you asked me to
I'd even sell my soul for you
I'd do it all for you
If you just believe in meJust take a look in my eyes
You'll see a love that's blind
Just take a hold of my hand
And I'll take you to paradise

Ain't a star that's too farYour every wish will be a wish
That I will make come true
And if you want the moon
I swear I'll bring it down for you
Let me into your heartBelieve me baby, got your name carved on my soul
'Cause you're the only one that I'll give it to
Go let 'em say that I'm a fool to act this way
'Cause if I'm crazy, I'm just crazy 'bout youI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Do anything you asked me to
I'd even sell my soul for you
I'd do it all for you
If you just believe in meI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Move mountains if you want me to
I'd walk across the fire for you
I'd walk on the wild for you
If you just believe in meAnd you will never see a day, I'll ever break your heart
You'll see the sky fall down before it ever gets that far
I'll show you Heaven every second that you're in my arms
Baby I'm crazy, but I'm crazy 'bout youI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Move mountains if you want me to
I'd walk across the fire for you
I'd walk on the wild for you
If you just believe in meI'd walk across the wild for you
Move mountains if you want me to
I'd walk across the fire for you
Do anything you asked me toI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Do anything you asked me to
I'd even sell my soul for you
I'd do it all for you
If you just believe in meI'd lie for you and that's the truth
Move mountains if you want me to
I'd walk across the fire for you
I'd walk on the wild for you
If you just believe in me
I'd lie for you and that's the truth

Meat Loaf (born Marvin Lee Aday on September 27, 1947 in Dallas, Texas) is an American actor and rock and roll performer who came to fame with his album Bat Out of Hell and for his movie performances, including Eddie in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Robert "Bob" Paulson in Fight Club and Jack Black's father in Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny.

The All Of Me Songfacts reports that Meat Loaf described his 12th studio album, Hell in a Handbasket, to Billboard as, "the most personal record I've ever made.” He added: “It's about how I feel the world's gone to hell in a handbasket. It's really the first record that I've ever put out about how I feel about life and how I feel about what's going on at the moment." The LP was released September 30, 2011 in Australia, followed by a release in February and March 2012 worldwide.

Meat Loaf has had a very successful music career spawning some of the greatest selling albums of all time and breaking various records. Although he enjoyed success with Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell Trilogy, he experienced some initial difficulty establishing a steady career within the United States; however, he is considered a legend in the UK and across Europe. In the UK, he is ranked 23rd for number of weeks in the charts overall. Due to his anthemic songs and a performance for Radio Veronica in the Netherlands, he stormed up their Top 100 of all times making a top 10 spot 6 years in a row. He ranks at 96th on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of hard rock." His overall success in Europe and Australia has been exceptional and he is considered one of the top artists of all time.
