If I Had My Way Lyrics

Yeah, waddup?
It's your boy Bobby V, yeah, I'm back girl
If I had my way, if I had my way it would be you and me
DTP for real, Dark Child, let's make it happen, Bobby V, lets go
If I had my way
Slowly we both regret our oaths
To somehow be faithful but we both know
That we're missing out on love
And we feel it when we see each other
And we're with the ones we don't love
Girl you know, I know
The way we feel ain't gonna change
If I had my way
She wouldn't be with me
He wouldn't be with you
It would be you and me
If I had my way
You would give into me

And you'd be here next to me
And you would tell him to leave
If I had my way
It's so crucial, we're always [Incomprehensible] together
It's always been [Incomprehensible]
That you got yourself a man and I got myself a friend
We both know that if we act on this
How far will it go? You know, I know
The way we feel ain't gonna change, oh, girl
If I had my way
She wouldn't be with me
He wouldn't be with you
It would be you and me
If I had my way
You would give into me
You'd be here next to me
And you would tell him to leave
If I had my way
Baby, you know this feels so right, you and I
And we know that the time is right for us to shine
I’mma tell my girl that she's gotta bounce, baby
And you gone tell your man he needs to be out, oh
If I had my way
She wouldn't be with me
He wouldn't be with you
It would be you and me
If I had my way
You would give into me
You'd be here next to me
You would tell him to leave
If I had my way
If I had my way
She wouldn't be with me
He wouldn't be with you
It would be you and me
If I had my way
You would give into me
You'd be here next to me
You would tell him to leave
If I had my way
My way, my way
My way, my way
My way, my way
My way, my way
(If I had my way)
My way, my way
My way, my way
My way, my way
My way, my way
(If I had my way)

The definitive afroamerican gospel group in the jubilee quartet style. Founded as the Golden Gate Jubilee Quartet in Norfolk, Virginia in 1934 by A. C. “Eddie” Griffin, Robert “Peg” Ford, Henry Owens, and Bill Johnson, they began as a traditional jubilee quartet, combining the clever arrangements associated with barbershop quartets with rhythms borrowed from the blues and jazz. The makeup of the group changed over the years, as some members were drafted during the war and new members were brought in to replace those who had retired or left to join other groups.
