If I Had a Million Lyrics

Well, if I had a million
I would build you a mansion
A hundred miles from nowhere with all a girl could needWe would run through the hallways
And dance in the backyard
If we ain't got no neighbors
Ain't no one will seeIf I had me a speed plane
If I fly across the land
Settle in some little border townDrink margaritas
And dance to mariachis
Put you on my speed plane and I
I would bring you on back homeIf I had me a steamboat
Sail across the ocean
Dock in some little port of callWe would have a fine time
With Swiss cheese and French wine
Put you on my steamboat and I
I would bring you on back homeI ain't got a million
I ain't got a speed plane
I ain't got no boat upon the seaAll I've got on these two strong arms

I can hold you so tightly
So baby won't you, won't you please
Come back home with meI ain't got a million
I ain't got a speed plane
I ain't got no boat upon the seaAll I've got on these two strong arms
I can hold you so tightly
And baby won't you, won't you please
Come back home with me, yeah

Pat Green was born in San Antonio and raised in Waco, Texas, the eighth of nine siblings. His father was a stage actor, and Green fell in love with the musicals his father acted in. Green began his musical career when he was 18 and in college at Texas Tech in Lubbock. "I started playing guitar to pick up the chicks," Green laughs. "Before that, I only sang in the shower. I could mimic other people's voices. It took me a long time to find my own voice, but once I did, I became very comfortable with it. It's not real pretty but it's believable."
