If I Knew Lyrics

Oh Oh Oh I was a city boy.
Right into danger's where I'd always run
A boy who had his fun
But I wouldn't have done all the things that I have done
If I knew one day you'd come
Naw baby, naw baby, naw baby
Oh oh I, I know it breaks your heart
To picture the only one you wanna love
In someone else's arms
But I wouldn't have done
All the things that I have done
If I knew one day you'd come
Naw baby, naw baby, naw baby
Oh baby please let's leave the past behind us
So that we can go where love will find us
It will find us
I know most girls would leave me

But I know that you believe me
Baby I...I wish we were seventeen
So I could give you all the innocence
That you give to me
No I wouldn't have done
All the things that I have done
If I knew one day you'd come
If I knew one day you'd come

Giving their brand of euphoric rock a sharper, slicker edge, Every Avenue explores themes of lust, temptation and self-acceptance on new album Bad Habits' 10 driving tracks, solidifying their place in the next breed of strong contenders in pop rock. Their third full-length sees the band lacing their infectious melodies with a glimpse of a darker side, embracing their next phase with the passion of a band truly defining their sound and making it their own.

Making their mark through hard work, the stunning vocal stylings of singer Dave Strauchman and an unfaltering belief in their brand of quality rock tunes, the Motor City five-piece has exploded from hometown shows to international success in a few short years. The band has been a staple on the rock circuit since 2004, clocking up tours with All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Metro Station and Hey Monday, and was featured in Alternative Press' Most Anticipated Albums 2011. The band's single "Tell Me I'm A Wreck" was in high rotation on Sirius Hits 1, with several weeks appearance on the 20 on 20 chart in fall 2010, and the poignant video resonated with fans worldwide, picking up airplay on MTV2 and was named Kerrang! TV's Video Of The Week. With an entire summer of Vans Warped Tour in front of them, Every Avenue stands defiant, a stable of killer tracks under their belts, poised to take Bad Habits to new heights.
