If I Should Lose This Love Lyrics

I seen highways in the rain
Waved goodbye to midnight trains
I seen sweet dreams disappear
All my life
I felt cold wind cut my skin
Waiting on ships that never came in
But I never cried real tears until tonightIf I should lose this love
If you should turn away
I couldn't bear to face
One more day
If I should lose this love
I couldn't stand the pain
I can do without better things in life and still get by
But if I should lose this love oh baby
I might just lay down & dieI staggered on the edge of hell
Stealing coins from wishing wells
And if the world went up in flames
What did I care

But when I look into your eyes
You know I suddenly realize
For the first time in my life baby I'm scaredIf I should lose this love
If you should turn away
I couldn't bear to face
One more day
If I should lose this love
I couldn't stand the pain
I can do without better things in life and still get by
But if I should lose this love oh baby
I might just lay down & die
