If Loving You Is A Crime Lyrics

If loving you is a crime
Then give me time
Cause I always be guilty
Sometimes, I feel that I'm on trial
For loving you too much, childYou're the judge and the jury
Of my peers
If it's time for me to talk
Lord, listen hereIf you don't want me
To steal your heart
Lock me up
and keep us both apart
And if they let me go,
I know it
I will do the same thing
over againSo if loving you's a crime
then give me time
Cause I'll always be guilty
Lord, have mercyI stand before you

a condemned man
Because I had
a deliberate planTo steal your heart
Oh, your love away
But I got caught
what can I say?
I'm guilty, so guilty
Woo, Lord, guilty
but I know nowIf they let me go
I know it
I will do the same thing
over againSo, if loving you is a crime
Then give me time
Cause I always be guilty
So guilty, so guilty
So guiltyI'm sitting in a witness stand
I got to plead guilty
If it's a crime in this world
for loving a woman
somebody let me know
I'll serve the rest of my life
Pleading love, love
