If Wishes Were Horses Lyrics

Why'd I turn on you and say those things
I didn't mean 'em
Wish you were bringing your love back to me
Instead of leavin'But if wishes were horses I'd have a ranch
Come on and give me another chance
Come on and give me, come on and give me
Come on and give me another chanceWe used to drive through the canyons
And down to where the land meets the sea
I never knew what I had back there till you
Went away from meBut if wishes were horses I'd have a ranch
Come on and give me another chance
Come on and give me, come on and give me
Come on and give me another chanceI was scared of standing on the edge
Of darkness looking in
I hurt you bad and now I wish
We could begin againBut if wishes were horses I'd have a ranch
Come on, give me another chance
Come on and give me, come on and give me

Come on and give me another chanceWish I could turn a sad and blue, blue day
Into something good
Wish I could somehow make it go away
I wish you understoodThat if wishes were horses I'd have a ranch
Come on and give me another chance
Come on and give me, come on and give me
Come on and give me another chanceCome on and give me, come on and give me
Come on and give me another chance
Come on and give me, come on and give me
Come on and give me another chance

The Libertines are an English garage rock revival band that formed in London in 1999 and disbanded in 2004. They reformed in 2010 to play the Reading and Leeds festivals. The band released two full-length LPs, both produced by Mick Jones of The Clash. Centered around the song-writing partnership and chemistry between Peter Doherty (vocals/rhythm guitar) and Carl Barât (vocals/lead guitar), while backed by John Hassall (bass) and Gary Powell (drums), the band was one of the cornerstones of the English independent scene in the early 2000's.
