If You Could See Into My Soul Lyrics

1, 2, 3, 4I hear you choking on your words again
The secret's in your throat
And I really wish you'd say
What you're thinkingWe've been down this road
So many times before
My stomach cannot take itI've been killing time
You've been crossing lines
You sayGet ready, get ready, get ready for this
I'm taking out my dagger
Just say it, just say it, just say it for me
I'm holding it up to your throatAre you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this?
You don't wanna hear it
Just say it, just say it, just say it again
It will tear your soul apart againI'm leaving you out in the cold again
I'll let you freeze to death
I won't let you see the flames
Just the chimneyWhere there's smoke there's fire
But I'm such a good liar

You can't read the signalsAnd my lips are sealed
Saying words that deal
Your shameGet ready, get ready, get ready for this
I'm taking out my dagger
Just say it, just say it, just say it for me
I'm holding it up to your throatAre you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this?
You don't wanna hear it
Just say it, just say it, just say it again
It will tear your soul apartStick to your guns
You've been betting it all on a long shot
Sixteen ways
You gotta call a spade a spadeThere is no ace up your sleeve
How can you believe you will win?Get ready, get ready, get ready for this
I'm taking out my dagger
Just say it, just say it, just say it for me
I'm holding it up to your throatAre you ready, are you ready, are you ready for this?
You don't wanna hear it
Just say it, just say it, just say it again
It will tear your soul apart againIt will tear your soul apart
I will tear your soul apart
It will tear your soul apart
Tear your soul apart again

Silverstein is a 5-piece rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada; formed in 2000. The band name was taken from the famous children's author Shel Silverstein. After several lineup changes, the band acquired Billy Hamilton, a local fan who learned of the band's need for a bassist on the Internet message board "The 905 Board" (an Ontario area outreach board which used to be for local musicians). In Christmas of 2001, he joined the band after Shane Told helped him learn the music for the songs. Following a rehearsal on Boxing Day (December 26) in 2001, he officially debuted with Silverstein.
