If You Ever Stop Loving Me Lyrics

My old man’s back hand used to land
Hard on the side of my head
I just learned to stay out of his way
But then street fights, blue lights, long nights
With the world sittin' on my chest
It just showed me how much I can take
Hard times, bad luck
Sometimes life sucks
That’s alright, I’m okay
It ain’t nothing but another day
But only God knows where I’d be
If you ever stop lovin’ me
The bank man, the bossman, the lawman
All tryin’ to get their hands on me
And I ain’t even done a damn thing wrong
I been waylaid, freight trained, short changed
By bigger and badder men
And all I got to say is bring it on

Hard rain, rough roads
So my life goes
That’s alright, I’m okay
It ain’t nothing but another day
But only God knows where I’d be
If you ever stop lovin’ me
I need you, gotta have you
In my life by my side everyday I'm alive
Every night that I’m breathin’, I’m needin’
You
That’s alright, I’m okay
It ain’t nothing but another day
But only God knows where I’d be
If you ever stop lovin’ me
It ain’t nothing but another day
But only God knows where I’d be
If you ever stop lovin’ me
If you ever stop lovin’ me
You see [Incomprehensible]
If I came to my knees
Yeah, yeah

Montgomery Gentry is a country music duo, founded in the 1990s, consisting of Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry. Eddie Montgomery is the older brother of John Michael Montgomery. Some sources say that Troy Gentry is the son of Bobbie Gentry, which is untrue. Troy's parents are Lloyd and Pat Gentry. Eddie, Troy, and John were in a band called Early Tymz. Eddie and Troy continued to perform after John left to pursue a solo career. The duo went through several name changes before they decided to call themselves Montgomery Gentry. Eddie Montgomery is bald and seemingly always wears a hat. Eddie also has a habit of twirling his microphone on stage, which has become somewhat of a signature.

The band has released five CDs including "Some People Change" which was released in 2006
