I'll Be Your San Antone Rose Lyrics

If they'll play one more love song
And if that Miller Highlife sign stays dim
And I'll just keep your glass so full of whiskey
I'll whisper words I wish I'd said to him'Cause I don't want to hear those sad story
'Cause we both already know how it goes
Tonight, I'll be your tall dark stranger
I'll be your San Antone roseI'll ask you to dance all the slow ones
Hold you close and walk 'cross the floor
I'll gently lay my head on your shoulder
And pretend this never happened beforeI don't want to hear those sad story
'Cause we both already know how it goes
Tonight, I'm gonna be your tall dark stranger
You know, I'll be your San Antone roseI wish I could tell you, I love you
(Don't lie to me)
I wish that he weren't always on my mind
But if wishes were fast trains to Texas
How we'd bide, how we'd ride, how we'd rideBut I don't want to hear a sad story
We both already know how it goes

But if tonight, I could be my tall dark stranger
(You can be my stranger)
I'll be your San Antone roseI'll be your San Antone rose
