I'll Stay Me Lyrics

T-shirt, blue jeans, don't like much on TV
Caviar and a Triscuit, ain't no red eye gravy on a biscuit
My deep southern drawl makes the conversation crawl
You're gonna have to hang around long enough to hear me outSome folks ain't happy like they are
Some wanna take things just a little too farSingers wanna be Hollywood actors
And millionaires wanna ride old farm tractors
I am just what I am, I'm just what you see
So I'll make it easy, I'll stay meMy granny and papa, still missing hee haw
And I love my little town where the people don't let you down
There's a girl down the street, got a kiss just waitin' on me
Hot dogs, sweet potato fry, when I go over tonightShe knows exactly who I am
A soft touchin', her love loving hard working manQuarterbacks wanna play lead guitar
And super models want smaller body parts
Change is good sometimes, but I still believe
I'm gonna make it easy, I'll stay meYeah, singers wanna be Hollywood actors
And millionaires want to ride old farm tractors
And I am just what I am, I'm just what you see
So, I'll make it easy, I'll stay meI'll stay me

I'm gonna make it easy, I'll stay me

Luke Bryan grew up in the very small town of Leesburg, Ga. Back home, he helped his father with his peanut and fertilizer businesses while playing sports and enjoying the great outdoors. Yet he can remember his mother urging him to belt out George Strait songs over and over while she drove him into town to shop. By age 14, his parents bought him an Alvarez guitar. By 15, his father would take him down to a nearby club, Skinner's, where he shared guitar licks and lead vocals with other local country singers.
