I'm In the Mood (with Bonnie Raitt) [Live] Lyrics

I'm in the mood, I'm in the mood for love.
I'm in the mood, in the mood.
I'm in the mood for love.
I said, night time is the right time.
To be with the one you love.
You know when night come, baby God know.
You so far away.
I'm in the mood, I'm in the mood, I'm in the mood for love.
I'm in the mood, in the mood.
Baby, I'm in the mood for love.
(guitar solo & instrumental)
I said, yes my mother told me.
To leave that girl alone.
But my mother didn't know.
What that girl was puttin' down.
I'm in the mood, I'm in the mood, baby
I'm in the mood for love.
I'm in the mood, in the mood.

Baby, I'm in the mood for love.

John Lee Hooker (Coahoma County, Mississippi, August 22, 1917 – Los Altos, California, June 21, 2001) was a highly influential American blues singer, guitarist and songwriter. John Lee Hooker could be said to embody his own unique genre of the blues, often incorporating the boogie-woogie piano style and a driving rhythm into his masterful and idiosyncratic blues guitar and singing. His best known songs include "Boogie Chillen" (1948) and "Boom Boom" (1962).
