I'm Leaving Lyrics

I don't need a wire
And I don't need a gun
to kill the things you have in mindNo, no, noI fear what you desire
So I am gonna run away
And leave you behind
You might say I'm running in blindBut I've lost my faith in life and death
I've lost my faith in hope and love, it's just deceiving
I've lost my faith in grace and god
I've lost my faith in you and meSo I am leavingYou don't need to listen
Cause you can hear the frequencies
That I'm singing inNo, no, noI don't know what is missing
But the end is here
And there ain't no new beginningNo, no, noI've lost my faith in life and death
I've lost my faith in hope and love, it's just deceiving
I've lost my faith in grace and god
I've lost my faith in you and meAnd after the sunset
There will be a sunrise
I want you to wait for itAnd after the sunset

There will be a sunrise
I want you to wait for itI apologize, I apologize, I apologizeBut I've lost my faith in life and death
I've lost my faith in hope and love, it's just deceiving
I've lost my faith in grace and god
I've lost my faith in youSo I'm leavingI'm leaving
I'm leaving
I'm leaving
I'm leavingSubmitted by Jim.

While that song is cheerful, his own songs are frequently typified as emotional guitar ballads, because many of them are in a minor scale and have a melancholic feel to them. He has explained that even when he tries to write an uplifting song, it often ends up being a sad song...
