I'm Never Gonna Let You Down Lyrics

KooperYou can say that your worrying days are over
You can say that your hard luck times are few
You can say that your life
Is probably twice as nice as anyone elses
And baby you'd be right - you know it
And it don't take too much to show itI'm never gonna let you down
You don't have to worry
I'll never let you wear a frown
You don't have to worry
I'm never gonna let you down
You'll be up on your feet and wont life be sweet
I'll take your time and make it into something beautiful forever
And if ya listen ya know that folks will say:
"Just look at them - they've really got it made..."
Bein' so in love you'll see
That each day is an eternity of happiness
See if I'm not right - I ain't lyin'
Cause everyday ya know I got to keep on tryin'I'm never gonna let you down

You don't have to worry
I'll never let you wear a frown
You don't have to worry
I'm never gonna let you down
You'll be up on your feet and wont life be sweet
I'm never gonna let you down
Oh you better always be by my side
I'm never gonna let you down
Oh you'll be up on your feet honey

Al Kooper (born Alan Peter Kuperschmidt February 5, 1944, Brooklyn, New York) is an American songwriter, producer and musician, probably best known for organizing the group Blood, Sweat & Tears, though he didn't stay with the group long enough to share its popularity. His first musical success was as a 14-year-old guitarist in the Royal Teens, best known for their novelty blues riff, "Short Shorts". In 1960, he joined the song-writing team of Bob Brass and Irwin Levine, who wrote the hit, "This Diamond Ring", for Gary Lewis And The Playboys. When he was 21, he moved to Greenwich Village.
