I'm Not Ready Lyrics

You know what you wanna do
See, I'll never ever go nowhere yet
Think of all the timesBaby, we've been freakin' from dusk till dawn
And I'm still not ready to go on
That's the way it flows when it gets real good
Back to back flexin' my manhood[Oh, baby] Why does it got to be so good
[Oh, baby] Girl, you know you got me hooked
[Oh, baby] Girl, you know you got me shook
[Oh, baby] And I ain't goin' nowhereI'm not ready to end this freaky affair (Girl, I'm not ready)
I'm not ready to go nowhere
I'm not ready to get my clothes and go
Girl, I'm ready to start over againI wanna go on and on and on and on
I'm not ready to end this freaky affair
I wanna go on and on and on and on
Girl, I'm ready to start over againThis freaky escapade has got me going
It gets better when it keeps on flowin'
I broke you off all night and I'm not tired
Bring your body here and take me higher[Oh, baby] Why does it got to be so good

[Oh, baby] Don't you know you got me hooked
[Oh, baby] Girl, you know you got me shook
[Oh, baby] And I ain't goin' nowhereI'm not ready to end this freaky affair (No, I'm not ready)
I'm not ready to go nowhere (I'm not ready, yeah)
I'm not ready to get my clothes and go
Girl, I'm ready to start over againI wanna go on and on and on and on (I'm ready to go on and on, babe)
I'm not ready to end this freaky affair
I wanna go on and on and on and on (On and on)
Girl, I'm ready to start over againBaby, we've been at it all night long
(All night long)
I'm not ready
(Yeah) to end it while it's still strong
(While it's still strong, baby)
As I look and see the sunshine
(As I look) through the window
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
I know I should be gone
(Should be gone) but I can't let go
(But I can't let go)I'm not ready to end this freaky affair (I'm not ready)
I'm not ready to go nowhere
I'm not ready (I'm not ready, baby) to get my clothes and go
Girl, I'm ready to start over againI wanna go on and on and on and on (I'm not ready, baby)
I'm not ready to end this freaky affair
I wanna go on and on (On and on) and on and on (And on and on)
Girl, I'm ready to start over again (Yeah...)I'm not ready to end this freaky affair (See, I'm not ready)
I'm not ready to go (Uh) nowhere (To go nowhere)
I'm not ready to get my clothes and go
(I don't want to get my close, no)
Girl, I'm ready to start over again (Girl)I wanna go on and on and on and on
I'm not ready to end this freaky affair

Keith Sweat (born Keith Crier on July 22, 1961 in Harlem, New York), is a popular R&B/soul singer, songwriter, record producer and a major contributor to the New jack swing era. Before becoming a recording artist, Sweat worked for the commodities market in the New York Mercantile Exchange. He sang at nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and offered a recording contract with Elektra Records in 1987.

Make It Last Forever era: 1985-1993

Sweat started his musical career as a member of a well known Harlem band called "Jamilah" in 1975. With the help of Jamilah, Sweat was able to hone his craft as a lead singer by performing regionally throughout the Tri-State area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The group was started by Larry Peebles, a talented bass player from 116th Street and Lenox Avenue, and included several members who came in and out of the group; among those included was Gregory Ross, a well known Harlem keyboard player who currently lives and works in the Los Angeles area.

On November 25, 1987, Sweat released his debut album Make It Last Forever, which sold three million copies. The biggest hit from this album was "I Want Her" (#1 R&B/#5 Pop), and the title track from the album was hit #2 on the R&B charts.

Sweat continued to chart fairly well with his sophomore album I'll Give All My Love To You, which hit #6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and Keep It Comin debuted in the Top 20 of the album chart.
