I'm On Fire Lyrics

It's hot, I'm steamy, sweatin', tossin' and turnin'
The whole house on fire and I can't stop it from burnin'
The curtains and the walls all indulged in flames
I yell, "Somebody help me" but ain't nobody cameI try my best to put it out then I said, "Fuck it!"
Break full speed to the back door one room away
But the faster and harder I ran it seemed like the longer I took
Prayin', "Please God spare me, I don't wanna cook!"Knew that I did done some things that I shouldn't of
I knew I didn't come into Sunday service like I could have
But have mercy for your child, forgive me for my sins
I'm too young to die, Lord, get me through thisWe gotta get to the back, don't gotta get to the kitchen
But they got thick black smoke comin' from the kitchen
Shit, all other exits are tossed, what I'ma do?
Stay my ass here and burn or run the fuck through?Already havin' trouble breathin' when I started to cough
But no more time to waste, I cover my face and took off
Disendehydrate, I'm gettin' tireder
I gotta, keep movin', 'cause it's gettin' hotter
And hotter, whoo, whoa, shit!, I'm on fireC-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire

C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
I-I-I'm on fire, I-I-I'm on fire
C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fireI gotta get out of here, I've been trapped for over fifty five minutes
Looks like I'm finished, this could be a fucked up endin'
I done been in some fucked up shit but this the worst I ever been in
"Call them people to me", tell 'em send the fire engineI hope this ain't my calling y'all 'cause I ain't ready
I'ma need some alerted emergency units to stand by, paramedics
Runnin' through the fire, I can't turn back
Somethin' went and everythin' went blackI can't see, I can't see, I'm blind
Oh fuck, I'm alright, I just had my eyes closed the whole time
Oops, shit damn!, But that ain't my stop my shoes from movin'
'Cause outside, here I amI smashed through the back door like a ram
I made it! I'm still alive! I'm still a man!
Out the house but still I got fire on my clothes
So I stopped, dropped and rolled dig rolledStarted goin' wild on the ground tryin' to get the flames out my shirt
Windmillin' in the dirt but nothin' didn't work
I heard a, but that was just a barge
See, I live right by the river, that's it! Water!Every step I took made hot footprints in the tar
Runnin' over cars to the twelfth ward wall
Get out the way 'cause everything I touch turn crispy
I'ma be at the riverfront, tell 'em people come get meC-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
C-c-call them people to me, I-I-I'm on fire
I-I-I'm on fire, I-I-I'm on fireSparks like aluminum foil in the microwave oven
Where them fuckin' people? Somebody do somethin'
Can't you see what's happenin'?
Don't you see the smoke? Can't you hear the cracklin'?Nobody wanna listen, everybody was scatterin'
I grab a nigga, he screamed so loud that shit was eardrum shatterin'
I said, "Don't scream dawg, I need your help, I'm the one on fire!"
He said, "Nigga, you supposed to be dead, how you still alive?"He was right, by now they should be embalmin' me
But the shit don't seem to be harmin' me
Damn, this must have been a bad dream the whole while then
I heard them motherfuckin' sirens, hollerin'I guess they finally got the people to me, they must have saw me
Huh, 'cause they was headed right for me
A fireman walked up and handed me a ticket
And said, "You just been put out, the fire went away!"

Michael Lawrence Tyler (born September 22, 1970 in New Orleans, Louisiana), better known by his stage name Mystikal, is a Grammy award nominated American rapper and actor. He released his self-titled debut album in 1994 and has since released 1996's Mind of Mystikal, 1997's Unpredictable, 1998's Ghetto Fabulous, 2000's Let's Get Ready and 2001's Tarantula. In 2003, Mystikal pled guilty to sexual battery, and was released on January 14, 2010 after serving a six year sentence. He has plans to return to recording music and possibly release a new album sometime in 2010. He is one of many artists from Master P's No Limit Records to achieve both critical and commercial success.

Michael Tyler went to Cohen High School in New Orleans. Later he would go on to be in the Army and serve as a Meal, Ready-to-Eat supply clerk assigned to a stateside support unit.

His debut album was Mystikal, released on the indie label Big Boy Records in 1995. He signed to Jive Records to release Mind of Mystikal in 1996. The album sold well, and he signed to Master P's No Limit Records for Unpredictable in 1997. The album sold well, and garnered him critical praise, though his real breakthrough was Let's Get Ready released in 2000, led by The Neptunes-produced hit "Shake Ya Ass," and the only slightly-less-successful single "Danger (Been So Long)," which featured rising pop star Nivea. It debuted at Number One on the Billboard 200, making it his only chart-topper to date.
One of his most recent releases was the 2001 album Tarantula, which contained the single, "Bouncin' Back (Bumpin' Me Against The Wall)". Though it presented Mystikal's typical and unique flow style, the song also saw a blending of jazz and swing elements with hip-hop. He was also featured on "Move Bitch" by Ludacris.
On January 16, 2004 Mystikal was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to forcing his hairstylist to perform sex acts. He also admitted to extortion. The rapper and two bodyguards forced the woman to perform oral sex after they accused her of stealing $80,000 in checks. Mystikal initinally denied the assault, but confessed after a videotape of the crime was found at his home. Bodyguards Leland "Pokie" Ellis and Vercy "V" Carter also pled guilty to sexual battery. Mystikal's 2006 parole hearing led to a denial of parole, specifically "1002186 SEXUAL BATTERY OF INFIRM" and "702127 EXTORTION."
He is currently incarcerated at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center, which is just outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His D.O.C. number is 00469659.

In August 2005, while incarcerated on the state sexual battery and extortion charges, Mystikal was charged federally with two misdemeanor counts of failing to file tax returns for 1998 and 1999. On January 12, 2006, he was convicted in federal court of the tax offenses, but was allowed to serve the one year federal sentence concurrent with his six year state sentence.

Mystikal was incarcerated at Louisiana's Elayn Hunt Correctional Center. On January 19, 2006, Mystikal was denied parole at a parole board hearing.

On January 11, 2007, Mystikal was released from custody on the federal misdemeanor tax convictions (as his one-year sentence had expired), but he remains in custody on the 6-year sentence for the Louisiana state felony convictions.
