I'm Shooting Cupid Lyrics

Cupid you promised that you would give me a break
You said I could make my own choice
Stupid of me to think I could avoid you again
Escape all of your little voicesYou've gone and made me want someone
I can never have and don't think I don't hear you laughing
Cupid you've got yourself a brand new enemy
It's time to get cruel, I'm calling a duelThis can be a lovely world
But you made me a loveless
You made me a loveless girlYou made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girlCupid I spy you in backs of cars and neon bars
I see you at firey sunsets
Aiming your arrow so pointlessly at destiny
Escape from your poison is narrowIt's for the strong of heart you should be aiming for
So just leave me out of your range of fire
Innocent victims see heaven in each others eyes
They're only looking at their own demiseThis can be a lovely world
But you made me a loveless
You made me a loveless girlYou made me a loveless girl

You made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girl[Incomprehensible]Romeo and Juliet, Antony and Cleopatra
Adam and Eve
Would've been much better off
If you'd left them all aloneI'm shooting cupidCupid you make us dishonest friends with sorted ends
Make lovers turns blind to their bleeding
I don't think you're lucky, I don't see you as heaven sent
Won't put you on a card of greeting
To keep humans kinds I'm getting you from behindYou made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girl
You made me a loveless girlCupid you promised

Voice of the Beehive are an Anglo-American college radio/alternative pop band, formed in London in 1987 by Californian sisters Tracey Bryn Belland and Melissa Brooke Belland, daughters of Bruce Belland of The Four Preps. When the sisters first sang together they called themselves the Beehive Girls, because of their beehive hairstyles. Their initial success came with the 1988 album Let It Bee, on which they recruited former members from ska band Madness to play guitar and drums.
