I'm Tore Down Lyrics

I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be foundI went to the river to jump in
My baby showed up and said, "I will tell you when"When I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be foundI love you babe with all my heart and soul
Love like mine will never grow old
Love you in the morning and in the evenin' too
Every time you leave me, I get mad with youWhen I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be foundI love you baby with all my might
Love like mine is out of sight
I'll lie for you if you want me to
I really don't believe that your love is trueWhen I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be foundI'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
When I'm tore down, I'm almost level with the ground
Well, I feel like this when my baby can't be found

Freddie King (September 3, 1934 – December 28, 1976), thought to have been born as Frederick Christian in Gilmer, Texas, originally recording as Freddy King, and nicknamed "the Texas Cannonball", was an influential African-American blues guitarist and singer. He is often mentioned as one of "the Three Kings" of electric blues guitar, along with Albert King and B.B. King (though he was the youngest of the three).
