I'm Wishin Lyrics

People in the next room don't know they make me blue,
makin' money and makin'love and then they're all through,
They make a lot small talk,
and play some music loud,
and all the time I'm wishin,
I was part of the crowd.
I see them from my window,
Walking hand in hand,
He winks and sighs as she walks by,
And they both understand,
Come rain or shine,
They're makin' time,
Takin' love right I their stide,
And all the time I'm wishing,
I was on the otherside.

When I go downstairs,
I make silent prayers,
The phone that is ringing is mine,
But when I run up,
It stops then hear someone say,
I'll be ready on time,
Everywhere I see a pair,
Of lover two by two,
Sippin' wine and lookin' fine,
Skies are always blue,
I telephone a cat I know,
Invite him for a drink,
He says he made some future plans,
And I'm left alone to think,
I think about the times I've had and try not to recall,
The ones that were so very bad,
And the ones that were a ball,
Cause whats the point in bringing up a broken picture frame,
When all it does is put you in that old rejection again,
It's gettin' dark and moonshine,
is a long, long, long, time past due,
Im in my car im travelling far,
Far away from you.
Cause you, you're the one who put me in this great misery,
You're the one whose caught me with this fruitless wishin' tree.
And all the time I'm wishin,
all the time I'm wishin,
all the time I'm wishin baby,
Wishin' you were here.
all the time I'm wishin,
Wishin' you were here
