I'm a Lamb Lyrics

(R. Snyder)Tell me where is she going now, have I frightened her today
I'm a man, understand we've got funny ways
I flex my muscles every evening, and put on my big black hat
I'm insecure but I know for sure she don't know where I'm atI'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm her
I'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm herLast night I almost told her what I was thinking of
Then I backed away, I couldn't say that I really was in love
Instead I hurt her feelings in my usual way
Then she shut the door just a second before I had the chance to sayHey
I'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm her
I'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm herIf you see my baby tell her to take a look
I dropped my guard, it was hard now I'm an open bookI'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm her
I'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm herI'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour

I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm her
I'm a lamb, yes I am in a coat of armour
I'm a lamb, yes I am and I could never harm her(c) MeGusta Music

Dr. Hook (& The Medicine Show) were formed in Union City, New Jersey, USA in 1968. The original lineup consisted of Ray Sawyer, Dennis Locorierre, Bill Francis, John David and George Cummings - although there were countless lineup changes over the years.

Two years after Sawyer left in 1983 the band split up. Since then Sawyer has begun touring as "Dr Hook featuring Ray Sawyer" and Locorierre has also promoted himself as "The voice of Dr Hook".

Trivia: In a live webcast performance from Atlanta Bon Jovi performed "Sylvia's Mother" by Dr Hook - declaring the song "One we should have written".
