Improvise Lyrics

Ayo, it's like this when Allah says "Let it be like
We are some designated, poetical brothers with mics
For whoever had skills to possess the gift
Combinated with the flavor and it goes like this, Tuna fishI'm amphibious, citizen with the lesson plan
Cashier at the J5 concession stand, AkilThe militant steel with the peripheral
Telegraphic skill build up cross field, Mark SevenFundamentalist brining my verbal gift
My style is packed quik like cocca in swiss miss, ZaakirFor the way my pen sticks to rhymes
'Cause a million party people, it's about that timeAnd together, we'll show you how to improvise
Reminiscent of the wild style '75
'Cause it's the brothers on the mic occupyin' the drums
Takin' four MC's and make them sound like oneI be the spark from the cannon, blaze the outstandin'
Tug of war, with the poor, rich, and scandalous
Road runnin' bandit, race against advancment
Style winds 'cause storms when I performI'm a parker John Robot and stomp your whole spot
And beat you whole crew to a bunch of whole knots
Dissect you from the inner then declare myself the winner
Once the style clears, you'll be, real like finnerOne of the black your contractor
Attackin' your backdoor, you're trapped in my trash compactor

Move back, whore, swingings before the trap door
It's causin' the capture of brothers who rap moreYeah, check the shellin', rock niggas redder than watermelon
The grief-stricken, rotated 20/20 vision
Rap felon, hottest rebel with bad spellin'
I pitch shift with unprecedented sharpnessDistributor, local street corner contributor
Word inhibitor, scientific positioner
Rhythm commision be J's for real
He drives the corssfader like a cutmobileWe prepetrate the fake, the fraud, the phony
Jurassic masters of the ceremony
You came and saw right before your eyes
In fact the old school flavor has survived, like thisAnd together, we show you how to improvise
Reminicent of the wild style '75
'Cause it's the brothers on the mic occupyin' the drums
We takin' four MC's and make 'em sound like oneAnd together, we show you how to improvise
Reminicent of the wild style '75
So whoever bought the tape bring your butt right back
'Cause you never in your life heard a cut like thatHey, we flip fast phonographs 45 records smash
High was the forecast, ain't nothin' they never hadMake a move, never lose, competition quick to choose
New styles, hot rhymes, guarenteed to blow your mindWho is he? The subtle fanatic for unity
Demonstratin' the ghetto diplomatic immunityWell I'm the style stimulist, sound photosynthesis
Super with the sentences in the latin centuriesAnd together, we'll show you how to improvise
Reminicent of the wild style '75
'Cause it's the brothers on the mic occupyin' the drums
Takin' four MC's and make them sound like oneAnd together, we'll show you how to improvise
Reminicent of the wild style '75
'Cause it's the brothers on the mic in the place to be
It's the J U R A double S I C

Jurassic 5 was originally a six-piece hip-hop crew that was formed in 1993 at the Los Angeles, California venue Good Life. Rappers Chali 2na, Akil, Zaakir aka Soup, Mark 7even, and turntable maestros DJ Nu-Mark and DJ Cut Chemist came together from two separate crews, the Rebels of Rhythm and Unity Committee. Cut Chemist left the band in 2006 to pursue a solo career.

The group debuted for TVT Records in 1995 with the single for Unified Rebelution. Their acclaimed position in the 1990s alternative hip-hop movement, alongside artists including Company Flow, Black Star and Kool Keith, was confirmed when the Jurassic 5 EP was released in December 1997.

The EP was later repackaged with additional tracks and released in December 1998 as the band's full-length debut album, entitled Jurassic 5 LP.

The tracks harked back to the old school attitude of new york's Native Tongues Posse, the seminal late 1980s coalition of artists who reaffirmed rap's social agenda, which included De La Soul, the Jungle Brothers and A Tribe Called Quest. This was evident on the song Concrete Schoolyard ("Let's take it back to the concrete streets/Original beats from real live MCs"), and the album even provided the troupe with a surprise uk Top 40 single when it reached number 35 in November 1998. The other stand-out track, Jayou, was built around a hypnotic flute loop from Pleasure Web's Music Man Part 1 (Music Man Part 1).

In 1999, Jurassic 5 signed to Interscope Records, who re-released the Jurassic 5 EP. This was followed by their second album (their first on a major label), Quality Control.

In 2002, they released their third album, Power In Numbers, which was followed by touring with the newly-revived Lollapalooza festival in the summer of 2003.

Their latest album, Feedback, was released on July 25, 2006.

On March 21, 2007, in an interview with the Australian news outlet News.com.au, Zaakir confirmed that the band would be breaking up after their current and final live-tour.
