In My Home Lyrics

Hey hey hey!Yeah we sleep in cars
Oh so far from home
Watch the sun go down
On the open road
I've been searching for this
Part of my lifeThen the sun will rise
We'll be driving slow
Watch the kids fly by
On their telephones
I've been racing all my life
And now I'm free yeahWell, I know I was born for this
Every night I dreamt of it
In my home
(Hey hey hey!) In my homeFast the moon approaches
And with hungry eyes
We'll be lighting torches
We'll be mesmerized
I've been burning for this

Cover of nightWhen the stars come out
You are stereo
Where we going dear
I knowWell, I know I was born for this
Every night I dreamt of it
In my home
In my homeAnd we are not lost
We're just searching
We are always, always searching for, homeWe'll be going dear
In bright lights
I don't know, I fear
I'm paralyzed
I'm paralyzedIn my home
In my home
And we are not lost
We're just searching
We are always, always searching for, home

Young the Giant is an alternative rock band which formed in Irvine, California, United States in 2004. The band consists of Sameer Gadhia (vocals, percussion), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Payam Doostzadeh (bass) and François Comtois (drums). The band's name is purposefully nonsensical; Gadhia explained it as a "leftfield idea" meant to evoke curiosity.

The band released their debut self-titled album, Young the Giant, on 25 January 2011, which was preceded by a digital-only release in October 2010. The first single, "My Body," reached #5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart, and a second single, "Cough Syrup," reached #3 on the same chart.

Previously, the band was known as The Jakes. They released a 7 song EP, Shake My Hand, in 2008, which including two songs ("Garands" and "Cough Syrup") now on the current self-titled album Young the Giant.
