In These Waters (feat. Ida) Lyrics

I am shy, I'm standing on the other side,
Watching while they're passing by, mhmRise and fall, our names are on the concrete wall
But maybe you have forgot it all, mhmRemember me, when you're reaching out for company
I'll standing in your memory, mhmYou left me hanging in the dark.
You're fading in my silent heart
And how I wish that you and I collide, collide.
I am falling further down
And I'm about to hit the underground, underground.
In these waters we are left to drown
In these waters we are left to drown
Hold my hand, we don't need to understand
While we're loving in a thunder land, mhmI'm still here, I'm afraid that I might disappear
In your absence I cannot see clear, mhmYou left me hanging in the dark.
You're fading in my silent heart
And how I wish that you and I collide, collide.
I am falling further down
And I'm about to hit the underground, underground.
In these waters we are left to drown

In these waters we are left to drown
And if you tear down the walls that surround us
And if you tear down the walls that surround usYou left me hanging in the dark.Remember me, when you're reaching out for company
I'll be standing in your memory, mhm

While that song is cheerful, his own songs are frequently typified as emotional guitar ballads, because many of them are in a minor scale and have a melancholic feel to them. He has explained that even when he tries to write an uplifting song, it often ends up being a sad song...
