In the Streets Lyrics

Kristine with the wild grin, ain't no future in the world yer in
You'll leave my heart broken, one thousand times again
Kristine with the wild grin, ain't no future in the world yer in
You'll leave my heart broken, one thousand times againThe cops will come out when the sun goes down
Yeah
From dawn to dusk while the dead rob the town
Right!
When the corpses walk they don't make a sound
Cause the baddest of the bad are coming aroundThe street is wicked and it's wild and it's free, yeah
A concrete jungle from here to the seas, you know?
It ain't the top man where you want to be
Well it's a long way to go and it's a one way streetKristine with the wild grin, ain't no future in the world yer in
You'll leave my heart broken, one thousand times againYou ain't got nothing when yer born to lose
You're all filled up with the pills and the booze
Ya standing on the street corner singing the blues
The end of the world is the path you chooseThe city's hot but you go it alone
And a, the city block is another war zone
And a, the city kids an' they ain't got no home

An' hit me the brick then we'll all get stonedKristine with the wild grin, ain't no future in the world yer in
You'll leave my heart broken, one thousand times again
Kristine with the wild grin, ain't no future in the world yer in
You'll leave my heart broken, one thousand times againSing it!In the streets you're never alone!
In the streets you're never alone!
In the streets you're never alone!
In the streets you're never alone!

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
